Every year, the people of Agona Duakwa celebrate their Akwambo Festival to mark the remembrance of the path the forefathers created through their sacrifice and many activities were able to settle and secure the land of Agona Duakwa which makes it the most significant culture celebration.
Saturday, August 5, 2023 was the day set aside to officially launch the festival at the Forecourt of the Cheif's palace whic saw over 500 people at the ceremony. Some major invited dignitaries present were the Chief and elders of the land, Deputy Municipal Cheif Executive , various district and political party leaders, King Damien Foundation representative, religious leaders and other invited guests
The ceremony was chaired by the current Queen Mother for Development in Agona Duakwa, in the person of Nkoso)hemaa Afua Amoakoa I. The chairperson in her speech emphasized on the youth taking advantage to learn the culture and also be involved in drive of the festival basing on the theme for this year's celebration "A TOOL FOR DEVELOPMENT THROUGH YOUTH PARTICIPATION". Other activities that took place was the display of the rich culture of the drumming and dancing, unveiling of the festival banner, fundraising and speeches.
Has a good heart for humanity and the desire to project a course where there will be enough for everybody to enjoy a worry-free life and by so doing, aligning the objective of basic mindset to Human Right
